My newest article on STR gets noted

My newest article for Strike the Root, "Reject the 'Anarchist' Voters," has been noted in two places so far:

* Brad Spangler just wrote a positive entry about it.

* It is currently on the front page of the International Society for Individual Liberty, in the Commentary sidebar.

Seems like controversy does indeed sell!

Congrats on getting some exposure. Your article pretty much summed it all up.

The only anarchist I've ever met in person happened to be another television anarchist. He votes but still calls himself an anarchist. And he told me that he was voting for the lesser of two evils. Of course the famous rapper KRS-one brilliantly stated in a song "you're still voting evil!".

With that said, it is really apparent these people are not anarchists, definately not people who embrace peace, order, and justice.

When I first discovered your blog two years ago, I came to the realization that I could not live myself knowing I would encourage the furthering of rights violations, the legitimization of the process, etc. It is morally wrong.

So I am convinced these people care nothing about freedom (socialists and (L)ibertarians). When they parrot the ideals of liberty, they are really just picking and choosing parts freedom rather than agknowledging that parial freedom is no freedom.

You are correct that there is no freedom to be gained in the party system. Ultimately, the ruling class sets the rules of the democratic process, and will never give you any real options.

Someone on Facebook told me that voting was proof of consent of the system. This is utter nonsense: no vote could possibly be a vote AGAINST the system, since you will never get such an option. It is simply not going to happen, and it's delusional at best to think it will ever happen, that these political means can ever help achieve Anarchy.
